Infrastructure

Smart Classroom

HRDC has an air conditioned smart class room with seating capacity of 50 participants. It is equipped with Smart Board (Ceramic Steel writing board with built in interactive features) with Public Audio system. It is also equipped with an LCD projector (Sony) and internet connectivity.

ICT Facility/Computer Lab

The University Grants Commission had provided a sum of Rs. 20 Lakhs to the Academic Staff College in 2004 for setting up Computer lab and creating necessary infrastructure activities for organizing orientation and refresher programmes in (i) Internet Literacy and (ii) Familiarity with use of tools (Software) for College/ University teachers to generate E-contents “assembles” and “creators”. This facility enables the ASC to conduct refresher and orientation courses and other activities with an emphasis on information technology related topics. The ASC has air-conditioned computer lab with one server and 24PCs, 1 network laser printer, 1 Scanner, and two UPS.

All Orientation Programmes and Refresher Courses conducted by ASC had sessions dedicated to hands-on training in computer use. Starting from basics, teacher participants were guided by experienced instructors through Word processing, Data processing, preparation of PowerPoint presentation and Internet handling. This effort has succeeded in creating a positive attitude amongst the teachers regarding information and communication technology. It has also developed their confidence in their ability to use this technology in their individual learning environment.

This computer lab has now been converted into e class room having facility of LCD projector and a screen too.

Seminar Hall

HRDC has a seminar hall with seating capacity of 200 participants. It is equipped with Smart Board (Globus), along with writing board having built in interactive features and Public Audio system. It is also equipped with an LCD projector (Sony) and internet connectivity.

Library

HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE has a very good collection of Books on various subjects. It has a well-furnished library with adequate space (409 sq. ft). It has 2846 Books. There is a separate reading room with the seating capacity for 25 persons. The library has internet connectivity of BSNL unlimited plan. The automation of library is under process.

Hostel/Guest House

HRDC has Hostel/Guest house facility for resource persons as well as for the participants attending the courses. It is built near the guest house of University. The construction of Guest house/Hostel has been completed and is undergoing infrastructure development
