Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering is an applied science which integrates knowledge of all the core subjects and implements its use for evaluates the mechanical underpinnings at molecular level and also investigates various biotechnological and genetic engineering methods to overcome various problems.aims at providing the students with an in depth insights into the domain of molecular biology and its application genetic engineering for the students having background in life sciences.We provide hands on training in laboratory for the application of molecular biology tools with a vision to motivate students to think out of the box. The application of Molecular biology in bioremediation , and industrial production of enzymes and therapautics has also been a part of minor projects carried out as a part of curriculum.

The Nagpur University was established on 4th August, 1923 with six affiliated colleges and 927 students. During 1947, the number of students increased to about 9000 accompanied by the improvement and diversification of curricula and expansion in the range of subjects.
