Presently she is working as Professor and Head at Department of Library and Information Science, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. She has a throughout first class career with professional experience of more than 30 years.
Presented Papers at USA (2009), South Africa (2011) and Sri Lanka (2010 and 2011), Chaired the Session on IPR and Copyright, 7th International Conference at, Sri Lanka. Delivered more than 200 Lectures as Resource Person in Refresher, Orientation Courses sponsored by UGC, AICTE and CBSE and at other Institutes. Promoting IPR and Open access in India.
Recognized Research supervisor at RTM Nagpur University and SGB Amravati University. Under her guidance 19 students have been awarded Ph D. She has guided 34 M Phil dissertations and 60 MLISc dissertations / project works. Published more than 145 Research papers, authored five books and edited 11 books/conference proceedings

Presently working as Professor at Department of Library and Information Science, RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur has more than 26 years professional experience and has a throughout first class career. Worked as Librarian at Nashik Road College (July 1998-March 1999) and worked as Librarian at RTMNU’s Br. S K Wankhede College of Education (April 1999-Feb 2009).
Published 11 books and more than 50 papers at National and International level and edited 3 books Completed one Minor Research Project sponsored by University Grant Commission on “Electronic Resources on Internet for Developing E-libraries on Education.” (2009). Also complete University Research Project by RTM Nagpur University on "Information Needs and Information Seeking Behaviour of Schedule Caste Students in Maharashtra: A Study" (2018)

She is presently serving as a Professor at the Department of Library and Information Science (DLISc), Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Nagpur. Prior to this, she was the Head (2009-2014) of the same department of RTMNU and also served as a Professor and Head of the DLISc, Shivaji University, Kolhapur from August 2017 to August 2019.
She has been actively involved in the Library and Information Science (LIS) profession since 2002 and was awarded a Gold Medal from Nagpur University. Having a wealth of experience, she has glorified the DLISc, RTMNU, Nagpur, boasting 21 years of teaching experience in the LIS field.
Her academic contributions extend beyond teaching, including the publication of numerous papers in seminars, conferences, and journals at both national and international levels, totalling more than 240 papers. She has also edited 20 conference and workshop proceedings and compiled course materials for workshops and refresher courses in LIS. Additionally, she has authored 10 books and actively participated in projects such as the Information Literacy Project with UNESCO and SALIS, UGC Research Project, ICSSR Research Project, and ICMR Extramural Research Project. She delivered many lectures as a Resource Person in many Capacity Building Programmes of National Mission on Libraries (NML) under Ministry of Culture (MoC), Government of India (GoI) and organized the said training programme in RTMNU, Nagpur as “Co-ordinator”.
She has been nominated as a committee member of “Benchmarking Standards for establishment of quality Public Libraries in India”, constituted by the Foundation Committee of Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF), chaired by Hon’ble Minister (Culture), GoI & Chairman, RRRLF.Furthermore, she has acted as editor in various journals and has been recognized for her contributions with awards such as the "Young LIS Professional" award by Karnataka State Library Professionals Association, "Best Paper Award" sponsored by KISTI (Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information), and "Best Presentation Award" at an International Conference in Malaysia. She has also received the "Professional Excellence Award-2015" by SRFLIS, New Delhi, and the "Satyashodhak Krantijoyti Savitrimai Phule Award-2022" by Indian Indigenous Society for Sciences and Social Sciences (IISSS), among others.
In addition to these, she has presented papers at International Conferences in Malaysia, Pitsanulok, Muscut, Hong Kong, and Dubana, Russia. She has contributed significantly to the field as a life member of professional associations such as DLA, ILA, IATLIS, DLISAA, SALIS, CGLA, VLA etc.
