It gives me an immense pleasure to put forth a brief scenario of our college Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya Nagpur was established by Arya Vidya Sabha, in the year 1983 as Arts & Commerce College to provide educational opportunity to the girls students on the principles of Arya Samaj founded by Maharshi Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Arya Vidya Sabha ,College Management Committee abundant experience in the field of education and social services has been focusing its efforts at this very important activity of nation building. Beyond regular academics at the Undergraduate and Post graduate levels the extension activities being conducted to encourage and motivate students to undertake more & more participation. Our faculty do support and play vital role in the overall development of our student and the college. To cater the career oriented and life skills of the students, the college also runs the career oriented courses sanctioned by UGC such as certificate course in Functional Hindi, Fashion Designing and E-Commerce. Faculty of the college is well qualified and most of the faculty members are Ph.D holders. As regular publication of the college, three research magazine namely Literary voice, Vishalashak and Kala Drushti in addition to their day to day work. The number of research publications made by faculty members has increased manifold in the last 8 to 9 years.The college has been accredited in 2012 by the NAAC at B level.
